Tamulpur College is located at the point of the longitude 91.5745 & 26.6317. It is at the heart of Tamulpur District and falls under the region of autonomous jurisdiction of Bodoland Territorial Region (B.T.R.), Assam. It is located at the distance of 02-03 K.M. from Tamulpur administrative headquarters at Tamulpur District. The state capital of Assam (Dispur) is at the distance of about 87 K.M., international border between India and Bhutan 31NH is a distance of 30 K.M, the nearest railway station of the college is Rangia Junction and the nearest airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati) situated approx. 80 K.M. away from the college campus.

OUR MISSION

Tamulpur College solemnly pledges to transform excellence in higher education to the rural & urban students enrolled to this institution. Some of the key missions are high lighted bellow:

VISION OF THE COLLEGE

Tamulpur College has a vision of disseminating excellent quality higher education to the students including those who are economically underprivileged, so that potential human value, knowledge, wisdom and skill develop in the society.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COLLEGE

  1. To give good educational facilities particularly to the students belonging to economically backward classes of the entire Tamulpur District.
  2. To impart education with the purpose of making them academically potential and responsible citizen.
  3. To provide ample opportunity for faculty improvement for better academic and service to the students.
  4. To provide facilities of games and sports in the college by organizing various events for physical, intellectual and cultural development of students.
  5. To create healthy learning environment in the society.
  6. To provide more infrastructure facilities with modern equipments to support & fulfill the need of the learners.
  7. To open a science stream within the period of 2 years in order to meet the huge demand of the society.
  8. To provide remedial course to poor, differently abled and drop out students for the progress in academic life.
  9. To translate the mission of SKILL EDUCATION and make a training centre with the college campus.
  10. To co-ordinate and support the innovative experiments in the college.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE: ON MERIT BASIS
  1. Submission of admission application form and admission for the academic session 2025-26 in Tamulpur College will be in both online & offline mode.
  2. Students who wants to get admission into Tamulpur College will have to apply online through SAMARTH Portal and submit hard copy in the College Office.
  3. The College will shortlist the selected students on merit basis and upload in the College website as well as will be pasted on the College Notice Board.
  4. The applicant must submit scanned copies of necessary documents (admit card, pass certificate, mark sheet, caste certificate, passport size photograph), gap certificate documents if the candidate is not from present session. The gap certificate has to be issued by the head of the institution last attended.
  5. Admission to the College will be strictly on merit basis and subject to the approval of the Admission Committee, Tamulpur College.
  6. The submission of application with above Percentage (45%) does not mean admission is confirmed in respective course. Admission procedure will be strictly on merit basis according to seat capacity of the College.
  7. Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in Arts, Science & Commerce under Assam Higher Secondary Council (AHSEC) or any other equivalent examination.
  8. No claim of applicant for admission will be admissible after filling up of above mentioned seats.
  9. There is reservation of seats as per Govt. norms for ST, SC, OBC, MOBC and differently abled NCC, Bharat Scouts and the candidates excelling in extra Co-curricular activities. Candidate will have to mention in the admission form the category of reservation and must submit valid documents.
  10. The valid documents with the signature of competent authority only will be considered for the above mentioned reservation seats.
  11. Any invalid or wrong information regarding marks and certificate will be punishable according to law.
GENERAL RULES FOR THE STUDENTS:
  1. As per guidelines of the Bodoland University the College will allot seats in the range of 20-50 percent of the total seats for admission through CUET.
  2. All students must follow the instructions given by the college authority.
  3. All students must wear the college uniform during college hours as well as in various activities.
  4. Ragging is totally prohibited in the college campus. If anyone found involving in such offence, strict action will be taken against the offender as per existing rules & regulations.
  5. The union and associations will be governed by the college authority.
  6. Only such unions & associations as have been recognized by the principal shall have the facilities in the college campus.
  7. All noticed desired to be pasted or circulated by the students anywhere in the college shall require the permission/approval of the principal.
  8. The power of maintaining discipline is vested with the principal and his decision shall be final in all such matters.
  9. Students shall be allowed to use mobile phone only in mobile zone marked by the college authority. Any misuse of mobile will be a punishable offence.
