The Deprtment of History, Tamulpur College started with the beginning of the classes in the year 1993. From this academic session 2023-24, the dept. has made a plan to offer Honours in this subject. History is one of the important subjects dealing with the past and the present. The subject helps the students to understand the socio-economic life of the people and deals with the discovery, correction, organization, presentation of information about past events. The department has been rendering active service in imparting and pertaining quality education both (Major & Regular) Course students.
